The Japanese community in Gold Coast has been holding a Japanese festival for about 20 years.
It had to be cancelled last year due to the coronavirus outbreak but it's coming back this year at a new venue.
Robina State High School, the new venue, has its Japanese Immersion Program. The Japanese Society of Gold Coast, which organize the festival, hopes that holding the festival at the school will get students and local people involved more.
In the audio, Ms Yoko Kashino talks about the upcoming festival. Ms Kashino is a member of the organizing committee of the festival and a member of a Japanese taiko drumming group Kizuna, which performs for the festival.
