After a decades-long ordeal Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has been released from prison in the United Kingdom and is set to return to Australia.


Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has been freed from prison in the United Kingdom with his tumultuous and long running legal battle set to draw to a close.

The 52-year-old Australian journalist has spent years fighting extradition to the United States over espionage charges related to the release of hundreds of thousands of classified US documents.
