Seventy-nine year old Akio Suzuki is a Japanese pioneer of sound art. Broadcast on the 20th of February, 2020.


Akio's exhibition is currently held at the Substation in Melbourne as part of the Asia TOPA 2020

The exhibition celebrates Akio's 40-year career as a pioneer sound artist. 

In the audio, Akio tells to us how he started one of his signature art projects called Oto-date, which lets people to stand at the locations Akio has chosen and take their time to be in the moment and listen.
