Chieko Miyajima has been working in the healthcare industry with a license of Midwife, Nurse, and Public Health Nurse in Japan. Currently, Chieko works as a registered midwife in Melbourne.

During the covid pandemic lockdown, Chieko imagined that mothers who were pregnant or had just had a baby must have been having a difficult time. She thought new parents being unable to meet people with the same situation would be tough under covid restrictions.  She wondered if there was anything she could do to help them. Then she started an online meet-up called “Zadankai” for the women.

“Little by little, one step at a time” Says Chieko, who thinks of herself as a cheerleader.
All those women are working really hard with raising children. As well as pregnant women. If you can keep up with the pace, it is good to keep it going, but if not, just take it easy. Go little by little, one step at a time.
