Former special counsel Robert Mueller has told Congress his report into Russian meddling did not exonerate US President Donald Trump of obstruction of justice.
Mr Mueller has answered questions about the investigation into the 2016 presidential election for the first time, disputing Mr Trump's claims that it was a "witch hunt."
Surrounded by media, the televised hearings carry high stakes for President Trump and Democrats who are split between impeaching the President or moving on to the 2020 election campaign.
