Three Japanese mums have decided to set up a new Japanese language school in their neighborhood Kyeemagh NSW to offer more options for all students who want to learn the language.

Other Japanese language schools offer classes only on weekends and that makes it difficult for some students to keep learning Japanese and enjoying sports, or other activities they like.

The Bayside Japanese School has opened January 2020 in the Kyeemagh Public School.  The three founding members, Mami Ayres, Mika Fukuta Moselmane, and Sachie Gamo, are hoping that the school will become a true community language school which is open for everyone in the community.

In the audio, Mami and Mika tell to us how the idea of starting a new school came along and the what kind of things they had to do to make it happen.
