Japan's Naomi Osaka regained the WTA world No. 1 ranking Monday following her quarterfinal run at last week's Rogers Cup in Toronto.
The reigning U.S. Open and Australian Open champion took the top spot back from Australia's Ashleigh Barty, whose
round-of-32 loss in Canada dropped her back to No. 2.
