Keiko discovered the depth of communication and languages in her middle age and decided to become a speech pathologist as her second career.  While working as a speech pathologist, Keiko realised that she seldom encounters Japanese families.

Why don't Japanese families use this service in Australia?  Keiko thinks that receiving support from speech pathologists is not so common in Japan, and that probably the language barrier is preventing Japanese families from asking for help.

Keiko realised the importance of spreading information within the Japanese community.  After Keiko launched her own business and has more discretion on how she works,  she held her first seminar on developmental disabilities for the Japanese community this year.
