Samurai dance is coming to Opera House

Ryuou Arai, a master of traditional Japanese kenbu dance, is performing at the Opera House as part of a stage which features Japanese traditional art. Broadcast on the 3rd of December, 2019.

Ryuo was born into a family of Japanese traditional performers and the third generation successor of his family's Kin-ou school.

He was selected as one of the performers for JAPAN SPECTACULAR, the stage which features Japanese traditional art.  It will be held at the Studio at the Opera House on the 16th of December.

In the audio, Ryuou explains what Samurai Dance is and also shares his experiences in Australia in 2015, when he came to Sydney by himself to promote Japanese traditional art.

JAPAN SPECTACULAR is organised and held by the Japan Club of Sydney (JCS) and all proceeds will go to JCS's charity program Rainbow Project.
