New polling suggests Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has increased his lead over Opposition leader Peter Dutton in the election campaign. The Trump administration is investigating imports of pharmaceuticals and semiconductors as part of a bid to impose tariffs on both sectors on national security grounds. Police have raided a dozen suburban tobacco shops with alleged links to organised crime, seizing almost $5 million in illegal cigarettes and vapes.
