Australia is among 29 countries to issue a joint statement calling for urgent action from Israel to allow aid to enter Gaza. The central bank has cut the cash interest rate by 25 basis points to 3.60 per cent, raising hopes among mortgage holders there will be more cuts in the months ahead.
