During the election campaign, both major parties have announced plans to boost tradie numbers in Australia to help increase the supply of new homes.


Builders welcome the move to fast-track tradie qualifications, but say there still won't be enough workers to build more than a million new homes that have been promised in the next five years without skilled labour from overseas.
