Hiroyuki Morimoto, the former Chief Director of the famous Tsukiji fish market in Japan, visited the Sydney Fish Market this month as part of the cooperation agreed between New South Wales and Japan.

After the visit by Morimoto, the representatives from the Sydney Fish Market will visit Tokyo next month. Both sides will share their strengths and know-how in areas such as efficient energy management, logistics, and how to make the market more consumer-friendly and so on.
To enhance trade in the future through bi-lateral cooperation, the Memorandum of Cooperation between NSW Department of Primary Industries and Ministry of Agriculture, Forestly and Fisheries Japan was signed in November last year.
