On Tuesday, 2 December, the Okinawa Food & Music Night, hosted by the the "Goshu Kariyushi Kai" was held at MASUYA Japanese Restaurant in the heart of Sydney. We spoke with participants at the event, along with Miya Uezu, a singer and sanshin (three-stringed lute) player from Okinawa, Japan, known for her clear voice and traditional Okinawan folk music.
