The 40th Anniversary of Sister City Relations Between Melbourne and Osaka

Mayor of Osaka City Mr Hirofumi Yoshimura and the delegation from Osaka City Council lead by the Vice President Mr Yoshitaka Tsuji with delegation and presentation members visited Melbourne from 16th to 20th of December 2018.

The year 2018 celebrates the 40th anniversary of Sister City Relations between Melbourne and Osaka.

The Melbourne delegation lead by Kevin Louey visited Osaka in March this year, and the Osaka delegation visited Melbourne from 16th to 20th of December in return for the celebration and to showcase Osaka's attractions and future plannings including the greener city and 2025 Kansai Expo.

The energetic Mayor of Osaka Mr Hirofumi Yoshimura spoke all through his speech in English wishing to express Osaka, his plants and thoughts in his own words.

Various events were held in Melbourne City to enhance bilateral relationship of Melbourne and Osaka and to celebrate its 40th year of Sister City Relations.
