'The Face of Jizo' returns to Sydney

80 years after the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Hisashi Inoue’s play The Face of Jizo, which premiered in Sydney in 2023, is being restaged with the same Japanese cast. Here, we revisit an interview recorded at the time of the premiere in October 2023 with actors Mayu Iwasaki and Shingo Usami, and stage director Mia Kanzaki.
