Jidaigeki films, often referred to as samurai films, are in transition with fewer production these days. Nevertheless, there are actors who strive to train themselves to pass down the techniques and spirits. Shingo Usami interviewed four actors from Toei Film Studio in Kyoto (Masaki Nishimura, Yoshiyuki Shibata, Yoshinori Matsunaga and Yoshitaka Shimomoto) who visited Sydney recently.
