Masahiko Takagi, director and curator of a Gold Coast business Boom Productions, will hold art exhibitions in Brisbane this month to introduce artworks by 20 artists in Japan. Mr Takagi is planning to have a much bigger exhibition next year in Brisbane to feature 200 Japanese artists.

Mr Takagi started his career at an advertising agency. Then he switched to art and has been in the industry for almost 30 years.

As director and curator, Mr Takagi has been introducing Japanese artists to the markets mainly in Australia and Europe. When it comes to choosing artworks for exhibitions, one of his mottos is not to trust his tastes or instincts.
