Born in Miyazaki, half Japanese x half British 10 year-old Sky Brown has eye on Tokyo Olympics 2020. She will become the youngest Olympian for Team Great Britain if she qualifies.
Sky is the youngest pro-skateboarder in the world. She is only 10 years old.
She also has passion for surfing and dance. She has taken part in Nike campaign together with Serena Williams. Not just her incredible skills in skateboarding and surfing, but her chirpy personality and cool style are attracting a number of fans across the globe. Her instagram account has over 354,000 followers.
She has won the Womens World Cup Skateboarding held in Estonia in February 2019. Last week, she also won UK skateboard championship in Manchester, UK, which was a step forward for her to qualify for the Olympics.
Sky was born to a Japanese mother and a British father in Miyazaki, Japan. She currently lives in Miyazaki, though spends most of her time in California. In March, she announced that she decided to compete at Tokyo 2020 under British flag. Initially, it was reported that Sky was considering about representing Japan as it was her birth country. She, however, explained that she preferred more "relaxed approach" by the team Great Britain.
Sky will be 12 years and 15 days old on the opening day of the skateboarding at Tokyo 2020. If she qualifies, she will become the youngest ever Olympian representing the UK.
