Two people have died, and 11 others were injured after a Sydney to Melbourne train derailed overnight. The New South Wales Train Link service was nearing the regional Victorian town of Wallan, 45 kilometres north of Melbourne, when it crashed. Federal and state investigators, from Victoria and New South Wales, are at the scene.
