Victoria and NSW Border Set to Close Tonight

Victoria has been cut off from the rest of Australia after notching a record number of coronavirus cases, with New South Wales shutting its border with the state for the first time in a century tonight (Tuesday 7 July 2020. 11.59pm). The closure of state borders remains a contentious issue, and legal experts say closures are only constitutional provided they are proportionate to the risk to public health.
