What is it like to be a migrant in Japan during the pandemic?

"The problem is, the pandemic hit us before we have adequate support system for migrants and refugees in Japan."


 Japan is a racially homogeneous nation and some say that being a migrant in Japan is not easy.  So, what is happening now there?

In the audio, Ms Sooyeon Choi of Japan's NPO, the Solidarity Network with Migrants in Japan (SMJ), will explain the situation migrants and refugees in Japan are facing.  

SMJ has released its final report on their emergency fund which was set up in May to support migrants and refugees.
