Sydney restaurants are preparing for a rush of diners as lockdown restriction ease, and many are already taking dine-in bookings.

However, as Small Business Secrets discovered, not all owners are racing to reopen.

Tasneem Abbas runs a small Pakistani restaurant in Sydney’s north.

The 40-year-old is among many of the city’s 20,000 restaurant owners in no rush to reopen the dining room, which has sat empty for three months.

However, across the city – Nigerian restaurant Little Lagos is among those preparing to reopen in October.  As owner Adetokunboh Adeniyi explains, bookings are pouring in.
