The storyline of the film "12 Months of KAI" evolves around the relationship between Kyoka (human) and Kai (humanoid).

Kyoka bought Kai to get over a previous relationship and to forget her ex-boyfriend.  As time goes by, the distance between Kyoka and Kai gets closer, and the couple subsequently faces an unpredicted, impossible reality.

Ms. Mutsumi Kameyama, the director of "12 Months of KAI", hopes that the film triggers conversation amongst the audience and let us have an opportunity to rethink about the world around us as humans, without being influenced by our nationalities or races.
In the audio, Ms. Kameyama talks about the film and its production process during the pandemic, and the recent screening in Tokyo, Japan.
