Women's University Sevens is about to start its second season this week. It is seen as providing a pathway for Australia's future Olympians.
Australia has a huge pride that it won the gold medal for women’s sevens at Rio Olympics. It is the second year to hold Women’s Uni Sevens Series, which attracts not just domestic players but also international players. The Uni Sevens series aims to find and nurture the hidden talent amongst young players ahead of Tokyo 2020 Olympics. This season kicks off on August 25th in Hobart, Tasmania.
