Yasukichi Murakami: Through a Distant Lens

Yasukichi Murakami came to Australia in 1897 and became a photographer in Broome and Darwin, where he lived also as a businessman and inventor. The search for his lost photographs by Mayu Kanamori, a present-day photographer also of Japanese descent, has resulted in a play. Its Sydney production is due to open on 10 February 2015.
