Exclusive Interview with Karen singers from Myanmar

Recently, some Karen singers from Myanmar have been touring Australia. The four singers, Saw David Htoo, Naw Dah Eh Poe, Nant Phway Phway San and Saw Gay Nay Moo had participated in a few bushfire fundraising concerts during their music tour.


The singers were invited by the Australia Karen Organization (Victoria), ideally to perform at Karen New Year events which was held on the 3rd and 4th of January, the period Victoria and NSW were facing with bushfires.

During the interview with SBS Karen Program, the singers thanked AKO Victoria for inviting them and allowing them to participate in bushfire fundraising concerts.

The singers said, they could have never imagined being part of a fundraising event that would help the Australian's bushfire victims, as they are from a small country, and they are very proud of the act as well.
