$35 millions Powerball winner is in Canberra

A person from Canberra has woken up $35 million richer after scooping up Thursday night's entire Powerball prize pool.

But the winner, who purchased the unregistered ticket in the ACT, is still unknown and NSW Lotteries is urging locals to check their tickets and contact them soon.

Lotteries spokeswoman Belinda McDougall says it's not a bad way to wake up on a Friday.
