Public Rally to Demand the Unconditional Release of Kem Sokha​ in Australia

Cambodian community held a peaceful demonstration to demand the unconditional release of Kem Sokha, Cambodian Opposition Party Leader and an end to attack on freedom of expression and free press in Cambodia.

On Saturday, 09th September 2017 at 2:30pm, Cambodian community held a public rally in front of Springvale Town Hall of 397 Springvale Road Springvale Victoria 3171.

The move came after the weekend's arrest of the Cambodian opposition leader, Kem Sokha, and the recent closer of independent media in Cambodia.

The event forms part of a worldwide effort with similar events were held in the US, Canada and Europe on the same day.

The event had been attended by many Cambodian Australian people and Australian members of parliament with approximately 400 people.
