PwC’s A Smart Move report forecasts that 75 per cent of the fastest growing occupations will require skills in the STEM fields.

2 Better career opportunities

A report commissioned by The Office of the Chief Scientist finds people with STEM qualifications are valuable to the workplace, even when their major field of study is not a prerequisite for their role.

The Australian Information Industry Association in its position statement Step it up: accelerating digitisation of Australia’s economy makes recommendations on how to develop Australia’s digital talent and skills base.

National Science Week is exploring activities and events of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, during August 13 to 21.

Children and adults can learn how drones, droids and robots are reshaping agriculture, mining, manufacturing, medicine, and space and deep ocean exploration.
