A new railway from the central station to the Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone will be completed by the end of 2018

Minister of Public Works and Transport Sun Chanthol has announced that a new train line from the central station in Phnom Penh to the Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone along National Highway No. 4 will be ready by end of 2018. The new rail link will assist to more than 10,000 factory workers in the areas.
