New figures show increasing numbers of Australians are cancelling their private health insurance. The key reason? They feel it's not worth the money.
Quarterly data from the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) shows the percentage of Australians with hospital cover fell to just over 45 and a half per cent - the lowest in seven years.
12,000 people cancelled their hospital cover entirely, with a survey by consumer group Choice finding that 70 per cent of people said it was too expensive.
