The majority of member of parliament (92 members) has proposed an amendment to the law on the election of district and provincial councils. This draft has been examined by the steering committee of the national assembly in a meeting held yesterday before putting forward in a plenary session for adoption. Similarly, the senate has also approved the amendment of the law on political party paving the way for the opposition members who has been banned by the Supreme Court to return to politics.
