Fears planned protest laws could undermine activists' rights

Human rights groups and protesters say the Queensland government's proposed dangerous devices laws are part of a growing national trend to limit the right to peacefully protest. Queensland premier Annastacia Palaszczuk recently announced she wants to fast-track laws that could see activists jailed for up to two years if they use so-called dangerous attachment devices.
