The drama surrounding the government's decision not to back Kevin Rudd for the United Nation's top job just won't go away.
The former Labor Prime Minister has told The Australian newspaper, the decision represents a monstrous intrusion of domestic politics into an international issue.
But Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull is standing by his assertion Mr Rudd's poor interpersonal skills and temperament made him an unsuitable candidate for U-N Secretary General.
