Mekong River, Tonle Bassac and Tonle Sap floods continue to rise, with 11 people killed

The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology in Cambodia issued a notification on August 9 that water level in Mekong River, Tonle Bassac and Tonle Sap will continue to rise in the next three or four days. Meanwhile, the National Committee for Disaster Management announced that the floods in the Mekong River in Stung Treng, Kratie, Tbong Khmum, Kampong Cham, Prey Veng and Kandal provinces have killed 11 people and affected more than 50,000 people.
