A story of a Cambodian survivor from a fishing boat in Thailand for many years as a slave. After escaping from the Dead Sea, Vannak Anan Prum got into another trap. He had been sold to work as a palm plantation worker with no pay, but just for foods and accommodation.


The author is coming to Australia with the support form​ Anti-Slavery Taskforce, Sydney Catholic Archdiocese and GMB Films to be a guest speaker at the event on Tuesday, July 30 and continue to speak on International Day Against Trafficking in Persons in Canberra.

He will also be speaking at Melbourne International Film Festival on August,10.

The events will include the Australian book launch of the Dead Eye and the Deep Blue Sea as part of the Anti-Slavery Task force.
