If you are after festive flavour, homemade Christmas gifts and fresh fruit’n’veg for the holidays, you had better be quick because time is running out! Here SBS Italian has compiled a list of some of the most popular markets around Australia offering all the items you need for a home-crafted Christmas.

Sydney

Darling Harbour has a completely different look for the month of December. You can enjoy free Christmas films, shows for children, music and, of course, a chance to shop. You can also take a ride along the bay on the Santa Express.

Adelaide

This is a European-style Christmas market based in the German settler town of Hahndorf, organised and run by C3 Church Adelaide Hills. Here you'll find the same atmosphere you could see in many European cities over the Christmas period, but in a warm Aussie setting. Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 4pm to 10 pm.
