On 27 September 2018, the commemoration to celebrate the National foundation Day of Korea took place in Sydney.
Mr Sang soo Yoon, the Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Sydney explained in his greeting speech the progress of Korea and Australia friendship cooperation, the strengthening bilateral cooperation, the development of Korean community in Australia, and the recent situation on the Korean Peninsula.
On 4 October 2018, the commemoration to celebrate the National foundation Day of Korea took place in Melbourne as well.
Mr Sunghyo Kim, the Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Melbourne says “In World history, so many countries have appeared and disappeared on the world map, but, Korea is one of few nations with long sustaining history”
Mr Bruce Atkinson MLC, the President of the Victoria legislative council delivered his hope of the peace in Korean peninsula.
