Chung Hyeon who reached the semifinals of the Australian Open in 2018, not participated in the 2020 Australian Open due to a hand injury.

South Korean media reported the news sourced from IMG Korea, saying Chung Hyeon will not compete in the qualifying round of the 2020 Australian Open due to his right hand injury.

Chung returned to South Korea for an examination and is expected to be able to determine the timing of his return based on the results of the inspection.

Chung was set to be a leader for the ‘Next Gen’ pack before a succession of injuries halted his progress in 2019.
