Consumer Information is a radio segment brought by NSW Fair Trading, the consumer protection agency. Steve Lee of the NSW Fair Trading joins SBS Korean program to advise how to avoid scams.

It is important to know everyone is a target of scams regardless of background, ages and income levels across Australia. 

A couple of typical scams reported these days are investment fraud and online dating.

Threat and kidnap scams tarting Chinese community became a serious problem in Australia last year. It is believed that 1700 scam reports received with $1.15 million loss.
