Donations of $50,000 for bushfire relief raised by Sydney Korean community presented to the Salvation Army

The Korean Society of Sydney , a peak Korean community organisaiton in Australia, has delivered the three cheques amounting to $50,000 donated by Korean community members for bushfire relief to the Salvation Army in a presentation ceremony.

The donation presentation ceremony was held at the Korean Society Hall in Croydon, Sydney in the presence of some key members of the organisaiton and media representatives.

The fundraising was led by the Korean Society of Sydney(President Bob Yoon) for a month and the other organisations such as Korean Community Church Council and the Federation of Korean Society Organisation in Oceania contributed to the initiative.

They actually raised $49,006.78 and Hon. Scott Farlow who attended the function for his acknowledgement on behalf of NSW Government pledged $900 on the spot to make the donations reach $50,000.
