Immigration Minister Peter Dutton has apologised to travellers ahead of disruptions at international airports on Friday.

Passengers are being warned to arrive early because Border Force staff are taking strike action as part of an ongoing pay dispute.

Mr Dutton told 2GB Radio the Community and Public Sector Union were continuing industrial action in a bid to twist the government's arm after a deal was put to workers.
