The payment which was originally due on April 15 had been withheld by the broadcaster but The Sydney Morning Herald reports that 'football industry sources confirmed' the money had been transferred.
While it's welcome news for the cash-strapped competition, exactly when players and staff will receive their part of that money is unclear.
