French President Macron to visit Australia

French President Emmanuel Macron will visit Australia from 1-3 May, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull says.

The President of France Emmanuel Macron will visit Australia in May.

Mr Macron's three-day trip beginning May 1 will focus on Australia's submarine program and negotiations for an Australia-EU Free Trade Agreement, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said on Wednesday.

It will be the president's first visit to Australia.
