Then on Sunday night, you can join our hosts Patrick Abboud, Joel Creasey, Magda Szubanski, and Urzila Carlson for our special Mardi Gras broadcast, including hilarious Mardi Gras commentary, a behind the scenes look at the parade and insightful stories that delve deeper into the issues faced by the LGBT+ community. The broadcast will also be streamed live on SBS On Demand.

You can tweet throughout the broadcast using the hashtag #mardigras40.

As well as full parade coverage, SBS is presenting a vibrant line-up of fresh and iconic LGBTQI films, documentaries and television shows. You can catch favourites such as multi-award winning Brokeback MountainCarol, and Holding The Man on SBS On Demand, as well as documentaries like Croc A Dyke Dundee and Growing Up Trans.

Also new to SBS On Demand is Queer for Short: Home Grown, a series of short films showcasing LGBTIQ+ stories from teams of emerging filmmakers across NSW.

You can check out The Queer Binge—SBS On Demand’s collection of some of the best LGBTIQ programs— for all new titles available during Mardi Gras season.

In the meantime, for all things Mardi Gras, you can head to www.sbs.com.au/mardigras
