Homes at threat as NSW once again faces catastrophic fire conditions

The NSW RFS and police have urged people not to travel on Saturday amid catastrophic fire danger forecast for the state.

The New South Wales Rural Fire Service is hoping to just get through Saturday without lives being lost as they battle more than 100 fires in extreme conditions.

There is fear that the Princes Highway south of Nowra could be closed because of several fires in the region including the Currowan blaze.
