The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras parade is just around the corner now, with the annual march down Oxford Street - the 42nd since the protests of 1978 - set to take place on Saturday 29th February.
Previously, members of the LGBTIQ+ community and their allies from around Australia have had to wait until the following night to watch all the festivities. However, this year SBS will be broadcasting the event live for the first time. Not only that, but SBS On Demand is temporarily removing its geo-block, allowing viewers from around the world to tune in as the night unfolds.
It's all very exciting, but technology can be HARD - and not just for those supportive grandparents waiting up to catch a glimpse of their loved ones marching down the parade route or dancing with members of their community.
