Hyeon Chung lost 6-2, 1-6, 6-2, 6-4 to Pierre-Hugues Herbert in the second round on Thursday.

“It was tough day for me today, he had a really good serve” Chung said

Last year Chung advanced to the semi-final at the Australia Open and was the toast of the town.

“I thought I would feel a lot of pressure, but I didn't feel burden at the beginning of the match." said Hyeon Chung, who gained attention from tennis fans around the world as he advanced to the semi-finals in the 2018 Australian Open.

Chung is currently ranked 25 but will plummet.

"I thought I had a good second set, but it was a bit early in the third set, which made the game a little difficult to solve." Chung said
