Man arrested at Sydney airport over Bankstown shooting murder of lawyer

A 38-year-old man has been arrested at Sydney International Airport by police investigating the shooting murder of lawyer Ho Le Dinh.

A man has been arrested by detectives investigating the shooting murder of Ho Le Dinh who died in Bankstown, in Sydney's southwest, last month.

The 38-year-old man was boarding a plane bound for Bali at Sydney International Airport when he was arrested by Strike Force Eugene investigators just before 10am on Tuesday.

He was taken to Mascot Police Station where he is assisting with inquiries.

Further information is expected to be available later today.

Solicitor Mr Le, 65, was shot while sitting at a cafe at Bankstown City Plaza just after 3.35pm on 23 January.

Despite the efforts of police, NSW Ambulance Paramedics and members of the community, Mr Ledinh died at the scene.

Detectives from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad and Bankstown investigators established Strike Force Eugene to investigate the shooting.
